Michigan Involvement Committee SCI Supports First-Ever PAC – First For Hunters

 In Hunter Advocacy

Let’s cut to it. This matters.

For the first time ever, the Michigan Involvement Committee (MIC) of SCI supports a Political Action Committee:

First for Hunters

This is a big move. And it’s long overdue.

What This Actually Means

The MIC, made up of all 10 Michigan SCI Chapter Presidents, has agreed to suuport a The First for Hunters PAC which aims to:

  • Support candidates who protect hunting rights
  • Influence elections that impact conservation and our way of life
  • Give Michigan hunters a unified, powerful voice

PACs take small individual contributions and turn them into real influence where it counts: elections.

Right now, if you care about hunting in Michigan, this is one of the most direct ways to protect it.

Where We Stand Right Now

  • ✅ PAC is officially established
  • ???? We need 25 contributors minimum before funds can even be used
  • ???? Goal: $20,000 by June 1

DONATE NOW

The Rules (Important)

  • Donations are NOT tax deductible
  • Must be from individuals only
  • No business or corporate contributions allowed

Why This Matters

Other organizations are already doing this and winning.

Groups like NWTF are raising $20,000+ annually through coordinated efforts. That money goes directly into conservation and influence.

SCI in Michigan is stepping into that arena.

This PAC gives us the ability to:

  • Stop playing defense
  • Start backing candidates who align with our values
  • Build long-term influence across the state

The Ask

If you’ve ever said:

  • “Someone should do something”
  • “Things are changing too fast”
  • “We need to protect hunting for the next generation”

This is that moment. DONATE NOW

Final Thought

Even a small contribution moves the needle.

No contribution = no voice.

No voice = decisions made without us.

Let’s not be the group that sits back and watches.

Let’s be the group that shows up.
